There's something most photographers don't know about themselves. It's the idea that runs through everything you make — the thing you reach for over and over without realising it. The thing that, once named, makes everything feel more intentional.

Most photographers don't have a technique problem. They know how to expose. They know what good light looks like. But there's a persistent gap between the photographs they're making and the photographs they want to make.

Over the course of three days, we will discover together the hidden style that is already inside your work — and bring it to the surface.

If you've felt that your photographs are missing a certain something. If you want a better understanding of why your images sometimes just miss the mark. If you want to shoot to your true strengths as a photographer — this is for you.

Three days in
Vienna and Baden.

01

Friday 14 August

Galerie G99, Vienna

Finding your hidden style

Morning session with your own photographs. Not a critique — a process of looking. We surface what's already there: the subconscious pattern, the recurring instinct, the visual idea you've been working on without having words for it.

In the afternoon, we take it outside. A photo walk through Vienna — making new work with what the morning revealed.

02

Saturday 15 August

Baden bei Wien — 30 mins south of Vienna by train

A day of inspiration

We meet in Baden bei Wien for a full day at the La Gacilly–Baden Photo Festival — the largest outdoor photography festival in Europe. Seven kilometres of route, around 1,500 photographs in public spaces, some up to 200 square metres.

We find inspiration from what other serious photographers are doing, and apply what we discovered about our own hidden style the day before to what we're seeing.

03

Sunday 16 August

Galerie G99, Vienna

Seeing the transformation

We come back together as a group to look at the work produced over the previous two days. What has changed? What do you now see in your own photographs that you couldn't see before?

This is where the discoveries of the weekend become visible — in your work, and in your understanding of it. We wrap around midday.

This isn't about learning techniques that you never apply again. This is about discovering your hidden talents as a photographer — a skill that will last you a lifetime.
